Armed with curiosity and a hunger for knowledge, Amrit embarked on her journey into the world of media as a student reporter for a national broadcaster in high school. Her early experiences laid the foundation, setting her on a trajectory towards becoming a publicly trusted leader in broadcast and marketing media.
She began her career covering national and local news for multilingual audiences, ranging from gritty crime stories to the intricate world of politics and the urgency of international crises. Through this, she mastered the art of navigating complex narratives and connecting with diverse audiences.
Transitioning to sports media, Amrit made history as the first woman featured on Hockey Night in Canada's Punjabi edition. She has spent a decade captivating global audiences with her passion for sports, collaborating closely with renowned franchises and uniting fans worldwide to the thrill of the sport.
Amrit's impact extends beyond her professional achievements into advocacy and community-driven initiatives. She has worked with organizations from over 40 countries to support sustainable and sport development goals. Her efforts have earned her recognition as a Changemaker from The Hockey News and as a Business Leader from the NHL.
Paul Sidhu
Co-Founder
Paul Sidhu’s documentary and feature-making journey began the moment he decided to pursue passion over comfort. An economics major in university, Paul left a cushy job in finance to study journalism. He decided to fuse his love for sports, music, and entertainment with his other passion, storytelling.
Twenty-something years later, Paul is a multi-award-winning Producer and Director, collaborating with superstar athletes, global brands, the Olympics, NHL, NFL, NBA, and MLB.
During his two-plus decades in the game, Paul has become one of the most sought-after documentary and feature directors in the sports media landscape.
Alongside his acclaimed work behind the camera, Paul dedicates himself to shaping the next generation of storytellers as a college instructor, sharing his extensive experience with aspiring journalists and filmmakers.
He is a producer and director who uses the lens and microphone to dig beneath the surface, revealing something more profound about sport, the athletes who play, and their stories of intimate glory.
